Industrial Cellular Routers — the connection your site can’t afford to lose.
4G and 5G routers built for cabinets, sites and vehicles — dual-SIM failover, VPN and remote management as standard. Four ranges from one Irish supplier: Robustel, Teltonika, Advantech and Digi, staged with SIM and antenna in Galway.
What Makes a Router “Industrial”?
An industrial cellular router connects equipment and sites to the internet over 4G or 5G and is built for the places consumer hardware dies: metal cabinets, plant rooms, poles and vehicles. That means DIN-rail metal housings, wide-range DC power, -40°C operation, dual-SIM failover that switches networks automatically, VPN for secure remote access, and management platforms that update hundreds of routers without a site visit. It runs for years unattended — that’s the whole point. TITAN IoT supplies industrial 4G and 5G routers in Ireland, configured for Vodafone, Three and Eir before they ship.

ICR-2437 — Utility Band
Secure LTE router for private utility networks — 450 MHz bands B31 and B72 plus public 4G in one unit, certified on European critical-infrastructure networks, full VPN stack and hardware watchdog.
Routers for the 410–430 MHz & 450 MHz Utility Bands
Utilities across Europe run private LTE networks in dedicated low-frequency spectrum — 450 MHz networks are live on the continent, and Ireland’s smart-grid spectrum sits in the 410–430 MHz range. These bands penetrate deeper and reach further than public 4G — exactly what substations, meters and remote grid assets need.
Advantech’s utility-band ICR routers are available in Ireland through TITAN. Running a utility or critical-infrastructure project on private spectrum? Talk to us.

What Irish Sites Run on Cellular Routers
Site CCTV & Security
Construction sites, farms and remote assets watched over 4G/5G — the R2120 powers the cameras directly over PoE, one box doing the whole job.
R2120 · RUTX50 · Antennas
Failover for Business
When the broadband dies, tills, phones and card machines don’t have to — a router with automatic 4G failover keeps trading through the outage.
RUT951 · RUTX50
Remote Machine Access
Service machines from the office instead of driving to site — a router at each machine connects back over our SmartNetVPN securely.
R1510 · SmartNetVPN · RCMS
Metering & SCADA
Meters, RTUs and substation panels bridged from serial to secure IP backhaul — dual-SIM keeps the reads flowing through carrier outages.
R3000-Lite · RUT956 · ICR-2734
Transport & Vehicles
Passenger Wi-Fi, onboard CCTV and fleet systems on 5G with GNSS positioning — vehicle-grade hardware that shrugs off vibration and voltage.

Need More Than Connectivity?
If the job goes beyond moving data reliably, one of these two neighbours is probably the better page.

Processing Data at the Edge?
If protocols need translating or applications need to run on site — Modbus to MQTT, Node-RED logic, Docker — you want an industrial gateway, not just a router.

Connecting Battery Sensors?
If the job is getting wireless battery sensors online across a building or site, that’s a LoRaWAN gateway network — Kerlink, Milesight and Robustel ranges.
A Router Is Only Half the Solution
Matched Antennas
The antenna decides the signal, not the router — especially in metal cabinets and weak-coverage sites. We pair every router with the right antenna for the install.
Secure Remote Access
Fixed IPs and secure tunnels to every site through our managed SmartNetVPN — your existing software reaches every router as if it were on the LAN.
Behind the Router
Cameras and devices on site need switching and PoE — the TSW202 managed PoE+ switch completes the cabinet, and we stage the lot together with SIMs before dispatch.

Poynting EPNT Enclosure — Router and Antenna in One Outdoor Unit
The EPNT combines a high-gain Poynting antenna with a weatherproof housing that the router mounts inside — so the whole connectivity kit goes on the wall, pole or roof where the signal is best, with just power and Ethernet running back in. Every router on this page fits, and we assemble and test the pairing in Galway before it ships.
Industrial Router Questions, Answered
What is an industrial cellular router?
An industrial cellular router connects equipment, sites and vehicles to the internet over 4G or 5G, built to run unattended for years in harsh conditions — metal DIN-rail housings, wide-range DC power, -40°C to +75°C operation, dual-SIM failover, VPN security and remote management. It’s the connectivity layer under CCTV, machines, meters, chargers and remote sites.
Why not just use a consumer 4G router?
Because the failure modes are different. A consumer router locks up and waits for someone to reboot it; an industrial router watchdogs itself back online, fails over to a second SIM, runs from 9–36 V DC in a cabinet, survives heat and cold, and can be diagnosed and updated remotely. When the router is 100 km away on a pole, those differences are the product.
How does dual-SIM failover work?
The router holds two SIMs from different networks — say Vodafone and Three. It monitors the live connection, and when the primary network degrades or drops, it switches to the second SIM automatically and switches back when service returns. No one visits site, and the equipment behind the router never notices. We supply and configure both SIMs as part of staging.
How do I access equipment behind the router remotely?
Mobile networks don’t give routers a reachable public address by default, so remote access runs through a VPN. Our managed SmartNetVPN gives every site a fixed, secure address your existing software can reach — PLCs, cameras and HMIs respond as if they were on the local network. The router brands’ own platforms — RCMS, RMS, WebAccess/DMP — handle the router management itself.
What are the 410–430 MHz and 450 MHz utility bands?
Dedicated low-frequency spectrum that European utilities use to run private LTE networks for critical infrastructure — the low frequency penetrates buildings, basements and terrain far better than public 4G, and the private network keeps working independently of the public operators. Networks at 450 MHz are live across Europe, and Ireland’s smart-grid spectrum sits in the 410–430 MHz range. Advantech’s utility-band routers for this spectrum are available through TITAN.
Do these routers work on Irish networks — and who supports them?
Yes — every router we supply is configured for Vodafone, Three and Eir before dispatch, with the SIM, APN, antenna and VPN staged in Galway so it comes online the moment it’s powered. TITAN IoT provides local pre-sales and technical support on +353 91 757500.
